HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist

I’m a UK based HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist working in the NHS and my private practice Sanctuary Psychology Services. I also offer clinical supervision to other mental health professionals. I am a regular consultant to local, national and international TV, radio and press around psychology and mental health and you may have seen some of my comments featured in the following media:

I have  worked in the helping profession since 2001 within private practice, the NHS, criminal justice, youth and community development, residential social care with young people and with adults facing homelessness. I work with a wide range of issues such as – anxiety, addiction, childhood sexual abuse, depression, family and relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, phobias, self-management of long-term health conditions, sexuality and identity.

As I reside in Northern Ireland I hold an Enhanced Disclosure with Access NI, which is equivalent to a DBS check that is required in Mainland UK for clinical practice.
